Here’s everything you need to know to enjoy a smooth and magical Unicorn Lake adventure.
Can I organise a birthday party at Splashy Land?
Absolutely. Splashy Land is a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday. We offer 3 dedicated Birthday Party Zones — two in Splash Park and one in Bounsea — all available as add-ons during the online booking process. Each party zone is reserved for 90 minutes within your session, giving you your own special space to celebrate together.
For Magical Unicorn Lake, guests simply board the boats for their adventure, with optional birthday add-ons available to make the experience even more magical.
When booking, simply select your session and choose your preferred birthday add-on so we can prepare everything for your special day.
What packages do you offer in Splash Park and Bounsea?
Book your tickets as normal and then choose one of our birthday add-on packages. Each package includes 4 complimentary adult entries, making it easy for parents to relax and enjoy the celebration.
Splashy Party Standard Package – £60
This package includes a private birthday zone reserved for 90 minutes during your session, cake storage and a special Happy Birthday celebration moment. The birthday child will also receive a complimentary ride on either the Walk on Water Ball or the little paddle boats.
A minimum of 8 children is required.
Splashy Party VIP Package – £110
Our VIP package includes everything in the Standard Package, plus a dedicated host or animator for the full 90 minutes. They will lead games, organise activities and keep the party atmosphere flowing so parents can truly switch off and enjoy the day. The birthday child will also receive a complimentary ride on the Walk on Water Ball and the little paddle boats.
A minimum of 10 children is required
Birthday snack and drink bags are available for £5 per child and can be added during booking. Additional treats such as ice cream, slush, Walk on Water Ball sessions and little paddle boats are also available in both Splash Park and Bounsea.
What if it rains?
As we are an outdoor venue, we recommend checking the weather forecast before booking. That said, we all know forecasts can change quickly. Our team will monitor the weather closely, and we encourage you to decide what feels best for your child’s celebration.
If heavy rain or unsafe weather conditions require us to cancel the event, you will receive a full refund or have the option to reschedule for another available date.
What about birthdays at Magical Unicorn Lake?
For Magical Unicorn Lake, guests board the boats as part of their booked session. You can choose 20 or 40 min boat ride or a full on Unicorn Quest.
You can enhance the experience with special birthday add-ons.
Boat decorations can be added for £20 to make the birthday ride feel extra special.
The Unicorn Quest Party Animator is available for £50. Children aged eight and over may join the Unicorn Quest without parents and will be guided by our staff throughout the adventure, creating an exciting and independent experience.
How many adults can attend?
Splashy Party Standard and VIP packages include 4 complimentary adult entries. Additional adults are very welcome and simply require a standard entry ticket. For safety, at least one responsible adult per five children must remain present at all times unless attending an eligible unsupervised Bounsea session as outlined on the Bounsea page.
For Magical Unicorn Lake birthday bookings, there is no limit to the number of adults attending; however, all adults require a valid ticket.
Can I bring decorations and food?
You are welcome to bring small table decorations, a birthday cake and picnic-style food. Confetti, large displays and wall attachments are not permitted, and all items must fit within your reserved party zone.
How long do we have the party zone?
Each birthday party zone is reserved for 90 minutes within your booked session, giving you plenty of time to celebrate before the area is prepared for the next party
Are there lower-cost options?
Yes. If you prefer a simpler celebration, you can select the Birthday Visit add-on for a special birthday shout-out and cake storage without reserving a party zone. You may also enjoy a picnic next to the playground outside the Splash Park boundary and bring the children into their booked session time only, keeping the day flexible and budget-friendly.
How do I book?
Select your preferred session and tickets online, choose your birthday add-ons during the booking process and complete your reservation. Birthday party zones are limited and subject to availability, so we recommend booking early to secure your preferred date.
